My One-Minute Speech

I’m a strong believer in destiny and fate.

I was born in South Korea and adopted by a Canadian couple that brought me back to Canada when I was three.

They had been working in Korea for about a year and a half and at Christmastime, the company they were working for, decided to sponsor an orphanage.

Out of the hundreds they could have chosen their company picked mine.

My parents had coincidentally been chosen to be the representatives to bring the food and clothing to our Orphanage that year.

As a thank you, all the children participated in creating a Christmas recital.

My Mum and Dad never had any plans or expectations to adopt a child,

But as my mother very fondly tells me....

When they saw a little girl at the far right end of the front row wearing a red dress and singing her heart out- they knew I was meant to be theirs. They brought me home with them two weeks later.
